Trauma & Orthopaedics Research Charity

Community Fundraising

Fundraising in the community is a great way to help support TORC. As well as organising a variety of fundraising events, from coffee mornings, sponsored walks and bingo nights to luncheons and collection days in your local town, it is also a great way to act as ambassadors, helping to spread the word about the work we do at Trauma and Orthopaedics Research Charity. Community fundraising is hugely important to us at TORC. Not only does it help raise vital funds needed to support our work, it can also bring people together. We have lots of great ideas to help you fundraise for TORC and are more than happy to help you raise money in a way that suits you best!

If you’re thinking of running your own community event get in touch with our fundraising team on 028 95 047200 or fundraising@torcni.org

We’d love to hear from you!

Fundraise for TORC in your local school:

There are lots of ways schools and youth groups can get involved and raise funds for TORC. Whether it’s an interactive storytelling session, non-uniform day, bake sale, sponsored walk or a sports day, you’ll have fun and help people in your community that suffer with musculoskeletal injury or disease in Northern Ireland.  You could support TORC all year round by making us your Charity of the Year. This is a great way to get students engaged and interested in the work we do and learn more about charitable organisations. Maybe you could set a fundraising target and students could organise fun events all year round to reach this.

Here are some great fundraising ideas to spark your creativity: school quiz, talent show, sponsored silence, guessing jar, walk-a-thon, world book day, bake sale, football tournament, have a dress in blue day to mark the charity’s branded colours.

Whether donations are in the form of cash/cheques or your school uses a cashless option, there are many easy ways to collect funds for the TORC.
