Charity of the Year – is a long-term strategic partnership with TORC that can address both your corporate social responsibility agenda and wider business needs. Your dedicated TORC representative will help you deliver great innovative fundraising ideas, and assist with volunteering and sponsorship opportunities.
Fundraising for TORC in your workplace can help you:
- Project a positive corporate image
- Demonstrate to your staff and work force your commitment to supporting a local charity
- Promote teambuilding, encourage creativity, improve staff motivation/engagement and improve communications.
Charity Sponsorship can demonstrate how your organisation cares about their community. This can help:
- Enhance your corporate image and customer awareness
- Provide positive PR and brand exposure to new and shared audiences
- Provide corporate hospitality and networking opportunities
Events
Volunteering:
There are a full range of volunteering opportunities available for staff here at TORC that include administration, event marshalling and registrations, event promotion, photography, Champion (local community) and bespoke opportunities (e.g. bucket /street collections).
Some ideas for ways you can get involved are:
- Hold a ‘wear something blue’ or a dress down day in the office in exchange for a small donation.
- Drum up some healthy competition and organise an office tournament such as football or basketball or get involved in a sponsored cycle.
- Organise an office tea party, bake sale or a lunch – celebrate the team’s achievements over lunch/tea break. Ask for a suggested minimum donation.
- Donate a percentage of sales on a certain product line.
- Promote our TORC literature and collection cans in your branches.
- Match funds raised via a staff member or team that have taken part in an event i.e. (Belfast City Marathon)
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme which allows anyone who pays UK income tax to give regularly and on a tax free basis to TORC. Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.
