We have recruited our first patient to the POLYFIX-DCM study!! 
This study aims at recruiting patients with Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy (DCM), who require surgery from the back of the neck. This surgery is called ‘Laminectomy’. Some patients with DCM have this surgery alone whilst others have this surgery along with fusion (metalwork). The POLYFIX-DCM study aims to find out which type of surgery leads to better outcomes for patients.
