The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children has recruited its first participant to the ODDSOCKS study!
This study is looking at ankle fractures involving the growth plate in children, to find out which treatment is better: surgery to fix the bone back into its natural position or treating the leg in a plaster cast to allow it to heal by itself. At the moment there is no high quality scientific evidence to know which will give a better outcome.
