Julie Grant is the Consultant Allied Health Professional for Major Trauma Rehabilitation at Musgrave Park Hospital.

Julie qualified as a physiotherapist in 1999, working in the Royal Victoria Hospital from 2000 in a variety of regional specialist services.  In 2005 she commenced an advanced practitioner physiotherapist role in the regional neurosciences unit, developing an interest in the rehabilitation of complex major trauma patients.  In 2015 she moved to work in the field of rehabilitation as the clinical specialist physiotherapist in the regional Spinal Injury unit at Musgrave Park Hospital.

In September 2020 Julie was appointed as the consultant allied health professional for major trauma rehabilitation.  She is an advocate of early rehabilitation, with a particular interest in clinical education and patient and public involvement.  Julie completed her MSc in advancing clinical practice in 2023.  She is a member of an international group of physiotherapists who work to develop guidelines on the management of chest wall injury.

Julie has worked within the voluntary sector through Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) NGO, an international development organisation, training community rehabilitation teams in India.  In her spare time she enjoys running and yoga.
